Rush Hour co-founder Antal Heitlager has become the seventh contributor to Altered Soul Experiment’s mixtape series.
Officially called ASE07-CASS, the label has indicated that the mixtape will encompass ambient and classical Japanese sounds, “rare jazz fusion”, contemporary eletronica and various “synth oddities” from the island nation.
Dutch DJ Antal has the following to say about the mix:
“I had December and snowflakes in Japan on my mind… I used to love Takeshi Kitano’s movies, for instance, but also the soundtracks… I have a weak spot for Japanese nostalgia.”
Altered Soul Experiment Vol. 7 will officially be released on February 5th, but you can preview the interesting, eclectic mixtape below.
