Glastonbury Talent Competition Opening Soon

The news that Radiohead will headline the festival’s Pyramid Stage this year may still reverberating around the music world, but there is no time to lose for ambitious starlets who wish to stake their claim for a spot on the Festival’s line-up.

The annual Glastonbury Emerging Talent competition welcomes submissions in any musical genre from the UK and Ireland. Along with earning a spot to perform on one of the Festival’s main stages, the winner will receive a £5,000 Talent Development prize from the PRS for Music Foundation.

Glastonbury Festival co-organsier Emily Eavis says: “New music is at the very heart of what we do here at Glastonbury. The Emerging Talent Competition has become such an important way for us to find the next wave of talent from across the genres, and then help to shine a light on it. I’m really excited to hear this year’s entries.”

If you think you have what it takes, be sure to mark your calendar, as entries are open for one week only, from  30 January to 6 February.
